FixRally is a place for trade pros and the people who work with them. These rules keep it useful, fair and safe. You agree to them when you sign up, and they are part of our Terms of Service (fixrally.com/terms).
1. The six rules
1. Zero tolerance. No objectionable content and no abusive users. Harassment, threats, hate, sexual content, scams and illegal content are removed and the account is banned.
2. Customers' privacy. Never post a customer's name, address or phone number in the feed. Referrals hide them for you.
3. Be real. Your own photos and your own work. No fake reviews, no fake accounts, no spam.
4. Compete fairly. Talk about costs and methods, never agree on prices. No price-fixing, no dividing customers or territories, no group boycotts.
5. Report and block. Every post, comment, message and profile has Report. Block or mute anyone; they are not told.
6. We aim to act within 24 hours. People review every report, remove what breaks the rules and ban the accounts behind it.
2. Zero tolerance
You will be banned, without warning, for:
- harassment, bullying, threats or stalking aimed at another user, on or off FixRally;
- hate speech, or attacks on people for their race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, veteran status or any other protected status;
- sexual content or nudity, and anything that sexualizes a minor (we report it to the authorities);
- violence, or content that encourages self-harm;
- scams, fraud, fake referrals, fake jobs or phishing;
- selling or promoting illegal goods or services, including stolen tools or parts;
- sharing someone's private information to harm or embarrass them.
3. Customers' privacy
3.1. Talk about the job, not the person. "Rooftop unit, 2008, cracked heat exchanger in 89117" is fine. A customer's name, address, phone number or face is not.
3.2. Photos of a customer's home or job need the customer's permission. Never show the house number or street name.
3.3. Information you get through a referral is for that job only.
4. Posts about customer experiences
4.1. You may post about your own experience with a job or a customer, to learn from it or to warn others about a type of situation.
4.2. Leave out names, phone numbers, emails and street addresses. The app removes these when it detects them, but you are responsible for leaving them out.
4.3. No accusations against a person who can be identified, and no "do not serve" lists.
4.4. FixRally does not offer customer flags or ratings of customers.
5. Be real
5.1. Post your own photos, clips and work.
5.2. Sharing someone else's work needs their permission. Credit is not permission. You may share a link to another user's public post with FixRally's share tools. Do not re-upload someone else's photos, clips or text without their permission.
5.3. One person, one account. Do not pretend to be another person or business.
5.4. Your license, insurance, prices and past projects must be true.
5.5. No fake reviews, fake recommendations or fake referrals. Do not offer or accept money, discounts or favors for a rating or recommendation.
5.6. No spam: no repeated posts, mass messages, chain messages or link farming.
6. Compete fairly
Pros on FixRally are often competitors. Competitors must make their own pricing and business decisions. So:
6.1. Do not agree with other pros on prices, rates, minimums, markups or fees.
6.2. Do not agree not to undercut each other.
6.3. Do not divide customers, jobs or territories.
6.4. Do not coordinate bids, including taking turns, agreeing who will win, or agreeing to bid high.
6.5. Do not agree as a group to refuse to serve a customer, or to refuse to deal with a supplier or another pro.
6.6. What is fine: educational talk about costs, materials, methods, time on the job and how to run a business. Posting your own public price is fine. Deciding on your own whom to work with is fine.
6.7. We remove posts and messages that break this rule and may suspend the accounts involved.
7. Be useful and respectful
7.1. Disagree with the idea, not the person.
7.2. Answer honestly. If you are not sure, say so.
7.3. Safety first. Do not give advice that skips required permits, licenses or safety steps, especially for gas, electrical, refrigerant, combustion and venting work.
7.4. Use the "Off the clock" tag for posts that are not about work.
7.5. No discrimination in whom you serve, hire or refer.
8. FixRally AI
8.1. AI content is always labeled "FixRally AI". It never pretends to be a pro.
8.2. AI answers can be wrong. Check them before you act on them.
8.3. Do not try to make the AI produce content that breaks these rules.
9. Reporting, blocking and muting
9.1. Report: use ••• › Report on any post, comment, message, story, profile or business page. Pick a reason and add details.
9.2. Block: no contact and no visibility either way. Blocking also ends a connection or follow. They are not told.
9.3. Mute: you stop seeing someone's posts. They are not told.
9.4. Manage blocked and muted people in Me › Blocked and muted.
10. What we do
10.1. A person on our team reviews every report. We aim to act within 24 hours.
10.2. Content with a serious report, or several reports, may be hidden while we decide.
10.3. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or ban the account. Zero-tolerance violations lead to a ban.
10.4. We never tell anyone who reported them.
10.5. Banned people may not create a new account.
10.6. If you think we got it wrong, email support@fixrally.com with "Appeal" in the subject line.
11. Changes
When we change these rules in a material way, the app asks everyone to accept the new version.
